CD2BP2 (CD2-binding protein 2), also known as PSTPIP2 or proline-serine-threonine phosphatase-interacting protein 2. is a cytoskeletal adaptor protein primarily expressed in hematopoietic cells. It belongs to the Pombe Cdc15 homology (PCH) family, characterized by an N-terminal F-BAR domain involved in membrane curvature sensing and a C-terminal SH3 domain mediating protein-protein interactions. CD2BP2 plays a regulatory role in immune cell functions, particularly in T cells and macrophages. It interacts with CD2. a cell surface receptor critical for T-cell activation and immune synapse formation, and modulates signaling pathways linked to cytoskeletal reorganization, cell adhesion, and inflammatory responses.

Antibodies targeting CD2BP2 are essential tools for studying its expression, localization, and molecular interactions. They are widely used in techniques like Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, and immunofluorescence to investigate CD2BP2's role in immune regulation and disease pathogenesis. Dysregulation of CD2BP2 has been implicated in autoinflammatory disorders, such as familial Mediterranean fever (FMF), and hematologic malignancies. Research using CD2BP2 antibodies has also explored its involvement in macrophage differentiation, osteoclastogenesis, and inflammasome activation. These studies highlight its potential as a therapeutic target or biomarker in inflammatory and immune-mediated conditions.
