The NABP1 (Nucleic Acid Binding Protein 1) antibody targets a protein critical in maintaining genomic stability. NABP1. also known as SSB1 (Single-Stranded DNA Binding Protein 1), binds transiently to single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) generated during DNA replication, repair, or damage response. It contains OB-fold domains that facilitate ssDNA interaction and collaborates with proteins like RPA and HSP90 to stabilize replication forks or repair intermediates. Dysregulation of NABP1 is linked to genomic instability, cancer progression, and chemoresistance.

Antibodies against NABP1 are essential tools for studying its expression, localization, and function. They enable detection via techniques like Western blot, immunofluorescence, and immunoprecipitation, helping elucidate its role in DNA damage response pathways. Commercial NABP1 antibodies are typically raised in rabbits or mice, validated for specificity in human or model organism samples. Researchers use these antibodies to explore NABP1’s overexpression in certain cancers, its interaction with tumor suppressors (e.g., BRCA1), and its potential as a therapeutic target.
