The C19orf57 antibody is a valuable tool for studying the function and expression of the C19orf57 protein, encoded by the *C19orf57* gene located on human chromosome 19. This gene, also known as *FLJ22555* or *CIAO3*, encodes a conserved protein implicated in mitochondrial iron-sulfur (Fe-S) cluster assembly and ribosome biogenesis. Mutations in *C19orf57* are associated with genetic disorders such as combined oxidative phosphorylation deficiency (COXPD34), a severe mitochondrial disorder characterized by metabolic acidosis, encephalopathy, and early lethality.
