While its precise biological function remains unclear, studies link CYYR1 to cellular processes such as adhesion, migration, and tumorigenesis. Elevated CYYR1 expression has been observed in certain cancers, including glioblastoma and colorectal cancer, implicating it as a potential biomarker or therapeutic target.

The CYYR1 antibody is primarily used in basic research to detect and quantify CYYR1 protein levels via techniques like Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, or immunofluorescence. Its development aids in mapping CYYR1's tissue distribution, subcellular localization, and interaction partners. However, commercial availability is limited, and validation data (e.g., knockout controls, specificity assays) are often sparse due to the protein’s novelty.
