The RNASE4 antibody is a research tool designed to detect and study Ribonuclease 4 (RNASE4), a member of the RNase A superfamily. RNASE4. encoded by the *RNASE4* gene in humans, is a secreted enzyme with ribonucleolytic activity, primarily involved in RNA metabolism and degradation. It shares structural homology with angiogenin (RNASE5), including conserved catalytic residues and disulfide bonds, but exhibits distinct substrate specificity and biological roles. RNASE4 is expressed in various tissues, including the liver, kidney, and vascular endothelium, and has been implicated in angiogenesis, neuroprotection, and host defense mechanisms.

Antibodies targeting RNASE4 are typically monoclonal or polyclonal, developed using immunogens derived from specific epitopes of the human protein. These antibodies are validated for applications such as Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, ELISA, and immunofluorescence to assess RNASE4 expression levels, localization, and regulation in physiological or pathological contexts.
