The RBX1 antibody targets RBX1 (RING-box protein 1), a critical component of the Cullin-RING ubiquitin ligase (CRL) family, which plays a central role in the ubiquitin-proteasome system. RBX1. also known as ROC1. contains a RING domain essential for E3 ubiquitin ligase activity, facilitating the transfer of ubiquitin from E2 enzymes to substrate proteins. This process regulates protein degradation, impacting cellular processes like cell cycle progression, DNA repair, and stress responses.

RBX1 antibodies are widely used in research to study its expression, interaction partners, and involvement in CRL complex assembly. They enable detection via techniques such as Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, and immunofluorescence. Dysregulation of RBX1 is linked to cancers and neurodegenerative diseases, as aberrant ubiquitination can lead to uncontrolled proliferation or defective protein clearance.

These antibodies are vital for exploring RBX1's role in disease mechanisms and therapeutic targeting, particularly in proteolysis-targeting chimeras (PROTACs).
