The DDX59 antibody is a research tool designed to detect and study the DDX59 protein, a member of the DEAD-box helicase family involved in RNA metabolism. DDX59. encoded by the DDX59 gene, plays roles in RNA processing, ribosome biogenesis, and ciliogenesis. It contains conserved DEAD-box motifs that enable ATP-dependent RNA unwinding, critical for cellular functions like transcriptional regulation and cell cycle progression. Mutations in DDX59 are linked to orofaciodigital syndrome type V (OFD5), a rare genetic disorder characterized by craniofacial abnormalities, polydactyly, and ciliary dysfunction, highlighting its importance in developmental processes.

DDX59 antibodies are primarily used in experimental settings—such as Western blotting, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry—to investigate protein expression, localization, and interactions.
