**Background of CUTA Antibody**

The CUTA antibody targets the CUTA protein, encoded by the *CUTA* gene, which is evolutionarily conserved across eukaryotes. Initially identified in bacteria for its role in divalent cation tolerance, mammalian CUTA is implicated in diverse cellular processes, including acetylcholinesterase (AChE) regulation, metal ion homeostasis, and mitochondrial function. Studies link CUTA to Alzheimer’s disease (AD) pathogenesis, as it interacts with the amyloid precursor protein (APP) and AChE, both critical in synaptic function and AD pathology. CUTA exists in multiple isoforms, with differential subcellular localization (e.g., cytoplasm, mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum), suggesting varied functional roles.

CUTA antibodies are essential tools for investigating its expression, localization, and interactions in disease models.
