The CDK2AP1 (Cyclin-Dependent Kinase 2-Associated Protein 1) antibody is a tool used to detect and study the CDK2AP1 protein, a key regulator of cell cycle progression and epigenetic modulation. CDK2AP1. also known as DOC-1. interacts with cyclin-dependent kinase 2 (CDK2) to inhibit its activity, influencing G1/S phase transition and promoting cell cycle arrest or apoptosis. It plays roles in DNA replication initiation by binding to DNA polymerase α/primase, and is implicated in stem cell differentiation, embryonic development, and epigenetic regulation through histone modification.

Research highlights CDK2AP1's tumor-suppressive functions, as its downregulation is observed in cancers like oral squamous cell carcinoma and colorectal cancer, correlating with poor prognosis.
