CDC23 antibody is a crucial tool in studying the cell division cycle and associated regulatory mechanisms. CDC23 (Cell Division Cycle 23), also known as ANAPC8. is a core subunit of the anaphase-promoting complex/cyclosome (APC/C), a multi-subunit E3 ubiquitin ligase essential for cell cycle progression. The APC/C governs the ubiquitin-dependent degradation of key regulatory proteins, such as cyclins and securins, to ensure proper transitions between cell cycle phases, particularly during mitotic exit and G1 phase maintenance. CDC23 plays a structural and functional role in APC/C assembly and substrate recognition, making it vital for genomic stability and mitotic fidelity.

Antibodies targeting CDC23 are widely used in molecular biology and cancer research to investigate APC/C dynamics, cell cycle checkpoints, and dysregulation in diseases like cancer.
