The TEDC1 (Telomere-associated DN2-binding protein C1) antibody is a tool used to study the TEDC1 protein, which plays a role in telomere maintenance and genomic stability. TEDC1. also known as C16orf74. is involved in the telomere-length regulation complex and interacts with shelterin components, such as TERF1 and POT1. to modulate telomeric DNA replication and protection. Its function is critical in preventing telomere dysfunction, which can lead to chromosomal abnormalities, cellular senescence, or cancer progression. Research suggests TEDC1 may act as a tumor suppressor, with downregulation observed in certain cancers, including hepatocellular carcinoma and glioblastoma.

The TEDC1 antibody is widely utilized in molecular biology and cancer research to detect TEDC1 expression via techniques like Western blotting, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry.
