The C12orf10 antibody targets the protein encoded by the *C12orf10* gene (Chromosome 12 Open Reading Frame 10), a human gene also known as *SRL* (Stimulator of RIG-I-like Receptor-Luciferase) or *DICIR* (Dendritic Cell-derived Inhibitory Receptor). This gene is located on chromosome 12q24.31 and encodes a transmembrane protein with leucine-rich repeat (LRR) domains, suggesting roles in protein-protein interactions and immune regulation. The encoded protein is predominantly expressed in immune cells, such as dendritic cells and macrophages, and has been implicated in modulating innate immune responses, including inhibition of Toll-like receptor (TLR) and RIG-I-like receptor (RLR) signaling pathways to prevent excessive inflammation.

C12orf10 antibodies are primarily used in research to study the protein's expression, localization, and function in immune regulation.
