The GINS4 antibody targets the GINS complex subunit 4 (GINS4), a critical component of the evolutionarily conserved GINS complex, which plays a vital role in DNA replication. The GINS complex, comprising GINS1. GINS2. GINS3. and GINS4. is essential for the initiation and elongation phases of replication. It interacts with the CDC45 protein and the MCM helicase to form the CMG (CDC45-MCM-GINS) complex, enabling unwinding of double-stranded DNA and ensuring replication fork progression. GINS4 stabilizes the GINS complex, facilitating its recruitment to replication origins and maintaining genomic integrity.

Antibodies against GINS4 are widely used to study DNA replication mechanisms, cell cycle regulation, and replication stress responses. They are employed in techniques like Western blotting, immunofluorescence, and immunoprecipitation to assess GINS4 expression, localization, and interactions. Dysregulation of GINS4 has been linked to cancers, as its overexpression is observed in tumors, correlating with proliferation and poor prognosis. Research using GINS4 antibodies helps elucidate its role in oncogenesis and potential as a therapeutic target.
