DPPA2 (Developmental Pluripotency-Associated 2) is a DNA-binding protein predominantly expressed in early embryonic development and germ cells, playing a critical role in maintaining pluripotency and regulating epigenetic states in embryonic stem cells (ESCs). It is localized to chromosome 3q13.13 in humans and contains conserved structural domains, including a SAP motif (involved in chromatin interaction) and a zinc finger-like domain. DPPA2 interacts with other pluripotency factors, such as OCT4 and NANOG, to modulate gene expression networks essential for self-renewal and lineage specification.

Antibodies targeting DPPA2 are vital tools for studying its expression, localization, and function in pluripotency and differentiation.
