The VPS45 antibody is a crucial tool in studying the VPS45 protein, a member of the Sec1/Munc18 (SM) family that regulates intracellular membrane trafficking. VPS45 (Vacuolar Protein Sorting 45 homolog) facilitates vesicle docking and fusion by interacting with soluble N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor attachment protein receptors (SNAREs). It plays a vital role in endosomal sorting, lysosomal biogenesis, and autophagy, impacting cellular processes like cytokine secretion, phagocytosis, and glucose transport. Dysregulation of VPS45 is linked to congenital neutropenia, platelet dysfunction, and other genetic disorders.

VPS45 antibodies, typically produced in rabbits or mice, enable the detection and localization of VPS45 in various experimental models (e.g., Western blot, immunofluorescence). They help elucidate its interaction partners, post-translational modifications, and tissue-specific expression.
