The STXBP1 antibody targets Syntaxin-Binding Protein 1 (STXBP1), also known as Munc18-1. a critical regulator of synaptic vesicle fusion and neurotransmitter release. STXBP1 interacts with syntaxin-1. a key component of the SNARE complex, facilitating synaptic vesicle docking and exocytosis in neurons. Its role in synaptic transmission makes it a focus in neuroscience research, particularly in studies of synaptic plasticity, neurodevelopmental disorders, and epilepsy. Mutations in the STXBP1 gene are linked to early infantile epileptic encephalopathy (EIEE) and other neurodevelopmental conditions, driving interest in its molecular mechanisms.
