The SNX11 (Sorting Nexin 11) antibody is a tool used to study the SNX11 protein, a member of the sorting nexin family involved in intracellular membrane trafficking and protein sorting. SNX11 contains a characteristic phox homology (PX) domain, which facilitates lipid binding and membrane association, and may participate in endosomal sorting, vesicle formation, or receptor trafficking. While less well-characterized than other sorting nexins (e.g., SNX1 or SNX3), SNX11 has been implicated in regulating endosome-to-lysosome transport, autophagy, and receptor degradation pathways. Studies suggest its potential role in cellular processes such as cytokine secretion, neuronal function, and cancer progression, though its precise mechanisms remain under investigation.

SNX11 antibodies are commonly used in techniques like Western blotting, immunofluorescence, and immunoprecipitation to detect protein expression, localization, and interactions. These antibodies help researchers explore SNX11's involvement in diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders and cancers, where trafficking dysregulation may contribute to pathogenesis. Many commercially available SNX11 antibodies are raised against specific epitopes, often in rabbits or mice, and validated for reactivity in human, mouse, or rat samples.
