The platelet-derived growth factor receptor-like (PDGFRL) protein, also known as PDGFR-like protein or PDGFRL, is a member of the platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) receptor family. Unlike classical PDGF receptors (PDGFRα and PDGFRβ), PDGFRL lacks the intracellular tyrosine kinase domain required for typical receptor signaling. It is thought to act as a decoy receptor, modulating PDGF signaling by sequestering ligands (e.g., PDGF-BB) or forming heterodimers with full-length receptors, thereby influencing cell proliferation, migration, and tissue development. PDGFRL is implicated in cancer biology, fibrosis, and vascular disorders, with studies highlighting its tumor-suppressive role in hepatocellular carcinoma, colorectal cancer, and other malignancies by inhibiting angiogenesis or metastasis.

PDGFRL antibodies are essential tools for studying its expression, localization, and interaction partners.
