KIF1C (Kinesin Family Member 1C) is a microtubule-dependent motor protein belonging to the kinesin superfamily, which plays critical roles in intracellular transport, organelle positioning, and cellular dynamics. It is encoded by the *KIF1C* gene and is involved in regulating vesicle trafficking, Golgi apparatus organization, and endoplasmic reticulum (ER) dynamics. KIF1C contains a conserved N-terminal motor domain that hydrolyzes ATP to generate mechanical force, enabling movement along microtubules.
