The IL27RA antibody targets the interleukin-27 receptor alpha (IL27RA), a key component of the IL-27 receptor complex. IL27RA, also known as WSX-1 or TCCR, is a type I cytokine receptor expressed on immune cells, including T cells, B cells, and macrophages. It pairs with glycoprotein 130 (gp130) to form a functional receptor for IL-27. a heterodimeric cytokine produced by antigen-presenting cells. IL-27 signaling via IL27RA regulates both pro- and anti-inflammatory immune responses, influencing T helper cell differentiation, cytokine production, and immune cell activation.

IL27RA antibodies are critical tools for studying IL-27-mediated pathways in immunity and disease. They enable detection of receptor expression, blocking of ligand-receptor interactions, or analysis of downstream signaling events (e.g., JAK-STAT activation). Research applications include flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, and Western blotting to explore IL27RA's role in autoimmune disorders, infections, and cancer.
