Interleukin-10 receptor alpha (IL10RA) is a critical component of the IL-10 signaling pathway, which plays a pivotal role in regulating immune responses and maintaining inflammatory homeostasis. As a transmembrane protein, IL10RA binds to IL-10. initiating downstream anti-inflammatory signaling through JAK1 and Tyk2 kinase activation, ultimately leading to STAT3 phosphorylation. This pathway suppresses pro-inflammatory cytokine production and modulates immune cell activity, particularly in macrophages, T cells, and B cells. Dysregulation of IL10RA is associated with autoimmune diseases, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and certain cancers.

IL10RA antibodies are essential tools for studying receptor expression, localization, and function in both research and clinical settings. They enable detection of IL10RA in tissues or cells via techniques like flow cytometry, Western blotting, or immunohistochemistry. Neutralizing antibodies can block IL-10 signaling to investigate its anti-inflammatory effects, while agonistic antibodies may mimic IL-10 activity. In clinical contexts, IL10RA autoantibodies or genetic mutations are linked to early-onset IBD, driving interest in diagnostic applications. Additionally, therapeutic antibodies targeting IL10RA are being explored for modulating immune responses in inflammatory disorders or enhancing anti-tumor immunity. The development of specific, high-affinity IL10RA antibodies continues to advance our understanding of IL-10 biology and its therapeutic potential.
