DMRTA2 (Doublesex and Mab-3 Related Transcription Factor A2) is a member of the DMRT gene family, which encodes zinc finger-like transcription factors involved in developmental processes, particularly sex determination and differentiation. DMRTA2 is evolutionarily conserved and plays critical roles in embryonic development, including neurogenesis and cortical patterning. Studies suggest its involvement in regulating neural progenitor cell proliferation, differentiation, and regional identity in the developing brain. Dysregulation of DMRTA2 has been linked to neurodevelopmental disorders and certain cancers, such as neuroblastoma.

Antibodies targeting DMRTA2 are essential tools for investigating its expression, localization, and function.
