IQCD antibody is a research tool designed to detect and study the IQ motif-containing protein D (IQCD), a relatively less characterized protein implicated in cellular signaling and structural organization. The IQCD gene encodes a protein containing multiple IQ motifs, which are known to mediate interactions with calmodulin and other calcium-binding proteins, suggesting potential roles in calcium-dependent signaling pathways. Although the precise biological functions of IQCD remain under investigation, preliminary studies link it to processes such as ciliary function, cell cycle regulation, and intracellular trafficking. Dysregulation of IQCD has been tentatively associated with ciliopathies and certain cancers, highlighting its potential clinical relevance.

IQCD antibodies are typically produced in immunized host organisms (e.g., rabbits or mice) using peptide antigens derived from conserved regions of the human IQCD protein. These antibodies enable researchers to visualize IQCD expression and localization via techniques like Western blotting, immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunofluorescence (IF).
