The NIFK antibody is a research tool used to detect Nucleolar Protein Interacting with the FHA Domain of MKI67 (NIFK), also known as MKI67IP or HSPC120. NIFK is a nucleolar protein implicated in ribosome biogenesis and cell cycle regulation. It interacts with the proliferation marker Ki-67 (MKI67) via its forkhead-associated (FHA) domain, suggesting a role in coordinating cellular proliferation processes. Studies show NIFK participates in rRNA processing, mitotic progression, and chromatin organization, linking it to fundamental mechanisms of cell growth and division.

NIFK antibodies are widely utilized in molecular biology and cancer research to investigate its expression, localization, and functional dynamics. Immunoblotting, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry experiments using these antibodies have revealed cell cycle-dependent shuttling of NIFK between nucleoli and chromosomes, particularly during mitosis.
