The CORO7 antibody targets coronin 7 (CORO7), a member of the coronin protein family characterized by conserved WD40 domains involved in cytoskeletal regulation, vesicular trafficking, and immune responses. Coronin 7. encoded by the *CORO7* gene in humans, is distinct from other coronins due to its unique N-terminal extension and tandem coronin domains. It localizes to the Golgi apparatus and endosomal compartments, where it modulates membrane trafficking and organelle dynamics by interacting with actin filaments and microtubules. CORO7 is implicated in maintaining Golgi structure, secretory pathways, and neuronal development, with studies suggesting roles in autophagy and lysosomal function.

Antibodies against CORO7 are primarily used in research to investigate its expression, intracellular localization, and molecular interactions. They enable detection via techniques like Western blotting, immunofluorescence, and immunoprecipitation. Dysregulation of CORO7 has been linked to neurodevelopmental disorders and cancer, though its precise pathogenic mechanisms remain under exploration. Commercial CORO7 antibodies are typically validated for specificity using knockout cell lines or siRNA-mediated knockdown.
