CDH5. also known as VE-cadherin (vascular endothelial cadherin), is a calcium-dependent transmembrane protein predominantly expressed in endothelial cells. It plays a critical role in maintaining vascular integrity and regulating endothelial cell-cell adhesion through the formation of adherens junctions. CDH5 is essential for angiogenesis, vascular development, and controlling vascular permeability. Dysregulation of CDH5 has been implicated in pathological conditions such as tumor metastasis, inflammation, and cardiovascular diseases.

CDH5 antibodies are immunological tools designed to detect and quantify the expression of this protein in research and diagnostic applications. These antibodies are widely used in techniques like Western blotting, immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry to study endothelial cell behavior, vascular remodeling, and barrier function.
