**Background of TSC2 Antibody**

The TSC2 antibody targets the tuberous sclerosis complex 2 (TSC2) protein, encoded by the *TSC2* gene. TSC2. also known as tuberin, is a tumor suppressor that forms a heterodimeric complex with TSC1 (hamartin). This complex regulates the mTOR (mechanistic target of rapamycin) signaling pathway by acting as a GTPase-activating protein (GAP) for Rheb (Ras homolog enriched in brain), thereby inhibiting mTOR complex 1 (mTORC1) activity.
