TRIM45 (tripartite motif-containing protein 45) is a member of the TRIM protein family, characterized by its conserved RING, B-box, and coiled-coil domains. It functions as an E3 ubiquitin ligase, regulating protein ubiquitination and participating in diverse cellular processes, including innate immunity, apoptosis, and antiviral responses. TRIM45 has been implicated in modulating Toll-like receptor (TLR) and retinoic acid-inducible gene I (RIG-I)-like receptor (RLR) signaling pathways, often by interacting with key signaling molecules like MAVS to suppress excessive immune activation. Studies also suggest its role in neuronal development and neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s, through ubiquitin-mediated protein degradation.

Antibodies targeting TRIM45 are critical tools for investigating its expression, localization, and molecular interactions. They enable applications like Western blotting, immunofluorescence, and immunoprecipitation to study TRIM45's function in physiological and pathological contexts.
