The TLN1 antibody is a research tool designed to detect and study Talin-1 (TLN1), a cytoskeletal protein critical for cell-matrix adhesion and integrin-mediated signaling. Talin-1. encoded by the TLN1 gene, serves as a key adaptor protein linking integrin receptors to the actin cytoskeleton, thereby regulating cell adhesion, migration, and mechanotransduction. It consists of an N-terminal FERM domain that binds integrin cytoplasmic tails and a C-terminal rod domain that interacts with vinculin and actin, facilitating focal adhesion assembly and force transmission. Dysregulation of TLN1 is implicated in cancer metastasis, cardiovascular diseases, and immune disorders, making it a target for pathological investigations.

TLN1 antibodies are widely used in techniques like Western blotting, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry to analyze Talin-1 expression, localization, and post-translational modifications. These antibodies are typically raised in hosts such as rabbits or mice, with validation steps including knockout cell line controls to ensure specificity. Researchers employ TLN1 antibodies to explore mechanisms underlying tumor invasion, platelet activation, and tissue development. Recent studies also highlight its role in modulating immune synapse formation in T-cells, expanding its relevance in immunology.
