The CLIP3 antibody targets the CLIP3 protein (Cytoplasmic Linker Protein 3), also known as RSNL2 or CLIP-170-related protein, which plays a role in intracellular trafficking, membrane dynamics, and cytoskeletal organization. CLIP3 belongs to the CLIP family of proteins that interact with microtubules and regulate vesicle transport, cell polarization, and signal transduction. It contains a conserved N-terminal CAP-Gly domain for microtubule binding and a C-terminal region mediating interactions with other proteins or membranes.

CLIP3 is implicated in diverse cellular processes, including endocytosis, receptor recycling, and Wnt/β-catenin signaling. Studies suggest its involvement in cancer progression, where it may influence cell migration, invasion, and metastasis. For instance, CLIP3 overexpression has been linked to enhanced EGFR trafficking in glioblastoma and colorectal cancer.
