背景信息

The MCM3AP antibody is a research tool targeting MCM3AP (Mini-Chromosome Maintenance Complex Component 3 Associated Protein), a protein involved in DNA replication and genome stability. MCM3AP, also known as GANP or DNA replication licensing factor, functions as an acetyltransferase that modifies MCM3. a critical subunit of the hexameric MCM complex essential for initiating DNA replication. By acetylating MCM3. MCM3AP regulates the loading and activation of the MCM complex onto chromatin, ensuring proper replication licensing and preventing re-replication.

Antibodies against MCM3AP are widely used in molecular biology to study DNA replication mechanisms, cell cycle progression, and genome integrity. They enable detection, localization, and quantification of MCM3AP in techniques like Western blotting, immunofluorescence, and immunoprecipitation.
