The FANCF antibody is a crucial tool for studying Fanconi anemia (FA), a rare genetic disorder characterized by bone marrow failure, congenital abnormalities, and cancer predisposition. FANCF is a core component of the FA/BRCA DNA repair pathway, which coordinates the repair of DNA interstrand crosslinks (ICLs) and maintains genomic stability. The FANCF protein interacts with other FA complex members (e.g., FANCA, FANCG) to facilitate monoubiquitination of FANCD2/FANCI, a critical step in recruiting downstream repair effectors. Mutations in FANCF are linked to FA complementation group F and are associated with early-onset cancers, such as leukemia and solid tumors.

FANCF antibodies are widely used in research to detect FANCF protein expression via techniques like Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence.
