The DUSP26 antibody is a critical tool for studying the dual-specificity phosphatase 26 (DUSP26), a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family. DUSP26. also known as MKP-8 or LDP-3. is a phosphatase that deactivates mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs) by removing phosphate groups from both tyrosine and serine/threonine residues. It plays roles in regulating cellular processes like proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. DUSP26 is of particular interest in cancer research due to its dual roles, acting as either an oncogene or tumor suppressor depending on the cellular context. For instance, it is overexpressed in neuroblastoma and thyroid cancer but downregulated in hepatocellular carcinoma.

The DUSP26 antibody enables the detection and quantification of DUSP26 protein levels in various experimental settings, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunofluorescence (IF). Researchers use it to investigate DUSP26's expression patterns, subcellular localization (primarily cytoplasmic), and interactions with signaling pathways.
