DAB2 (Disabled-2) antibody is a tool used to detect the DAB2 protein, a cytoplasmic adaptor protein involved in cell signaling and trafficking. DAB2. encoded by the *DAB2* gene, plays roles in clathrin-mediated endocytosis, TGF-β signaling, and cell differentiation. It interacts with receptors, such as LDLR and integrins, to regulate intracellular trafficking and signal transduction. DAB2 is also implicated in tumor suppression, particularly in epithelial cancers, where its expression is often downregulated due to promoter methylation or gene deletion. This loss correlates with enhanced cell proliferation, invasion, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT).

The DAB2 antibody is widely used in research to study its expression patterns in normal tissues versus tumors, its interaction partners, and its regulatory mechanisms in pathways like Wnt and Notch. It is applied in techniques such as Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. Dysregulation of DAB2 has been linked to ovarian, prostate, and breast cancers, making the antibody a valuable tool in cancer biology and potential therapeutic targeting.
