**Background of CSTA Antibody**

Cystatin A (CSTA), also known as stefin A, is a member of the cystatin family of cysteine protease inhibitors, primarily regulating proteolytic enzymes like cathepsins to maintain cellular homeostasis. It is expressed in epithelial tissues, particularly the skin, and plays a role in barrier function, inflammation, and cancer progression. CSTA is implicated in skin disorders such as psoriasis and Netherton syndrome, where dysregulated protease activity contributes to pathogenesis.
