The CRELD2 (Cysteine-Rich with EGF-Like Domains 2) antibody is a tool used to study the CRELD2 protein, a member of the CRELD family implicated in cellular processes such as protein folding, endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress response, and cell adhesion. CRELD2 is structurally characterized by multiple cysteine-rich motifs and epidermal growth factor (EGF)-like domains, which are thought to mediate protein-protein interactions. While its exact biological role remains under investigation, CRELD2 has been linked to ER quality control pathways, potentially assisting in the maturation or degradation of misfolded proteins. Dysregulation of CRELD2 has been associated with diseases, including certain cancers and congenital disorders, highlighting its potential clinical relevance.

Antibodies targeting CRELD2 are typically generated using immunogens derived from recombinant protein fragments or synthetic peptides corresponding to specific regions of the human or murine CRELD2 sequence. These antibodies are validated for applications such as Western blotting, immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry.
