The ABI3BP (ABI Family Member 3 Binding Protein) antibody is designed to target the ABI3BP protein, a multifunctional molecule implicated in cell adhesion, proliferation, and apoptosis. Initially identified as a binding partner of the Abelson interactor (ABI) family, ABI3BP is encoded by the *ABI3BP* gene and functions as a scaffold protein regulating cellular signaling pathways, particularly those involving the extracellular matrix (ECM). It contains thrombospondin type-1 (TSPN) and integrin-binding domains, suggesting roles in ECM organization and cell-matrix interactions.

Research highlights ABI3BP's dual role in cancer and neurodegenerative diseases. In tumors, it often acts as a tumor suppressor, with reduced expression linked to metastasis and poor prognosis in cancers like lung, breast, and thyroid. Conversely, in neurodegenerative contexts, ABI3BP may influence neuronal survival and synaptic plasticity.

The ABI3BP antibody is widely used in techniques such as Western blotting, immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunofluorescence (IF) to study protein expression patterns, localization, and interactions.
