PIP4K2A (Phosphatidylinositol-5-Phosphate 4-Kinase Type 2 Alpha) is an enzyme encoded by the *PIP4K2A* gene, belonging to the phosphatidylinositol kinase family. It catalyzes the phosphorylation of phosphatidylinositol-5-phosphate (PI5P) to generate phosphatidylinositol-4.5-bisphosphate (PI4.5P2), a lipid secondary messenger involved in regulating cellular processes such as membrane trafficking, signal transduction, and cytoskeletal organization.
