The AGTRAP (Angiotensin II Receptor Associated Protein) antibody is a research tool designed to detect and study the AGTRAP protein, a component of the renin-angiotensin system (RAS) involved in blood pressure regulation and cardiovascular homeostasis. AGTRAP interacts with the angiotensin II type 1 receptor (AT1R), modulating its signaling and internalization. This protein is thought to act as a negative regulator of AT1R-mediated pathways, which influence vasoconstriction, aldosterone secretion, and vascular remodeling.
