The ADAMDEC1 (A Disintegrin and Metalloproteinase Domain-Like Decysin 1) antibody targets a unique member of the ADAM family of proteases, which are involved in extracellular matrix remodeling, cell adhesion, and signaling. ADAMDEC1. also known as decysin-1. is distinct from other ADAM proteins due to its truncated structure, lacking a transmembrane domain and conserved cysteine-rich region, suggesting a specialized regulatory role. It is primarily expressed in immune cells, such as dendritic cells and macrophages, and is implicated in inflammatory processes, immune regulation, and cancer progression. Studies highlight its context-dependent functions: it may promote tumor growth in certain cancers (e.g., colorectal carcinoma) while acting as a tumor suppressor in others.

The ADAMDEC1 antibody is a critical tool for detecting and quantifying this protein in research. It enables the study of ADAMDEC1's expression patterns, localization, and interactions via techniques like Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry.
