MAP3K9. also known as MLK1 or mixed-lineage kinase 1. regulates stress-activated MAPK cascades, particularly the c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) pathway. It plays roles in cellular processes like apoptosis, inflammation, and differentiation, with implications in cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, and metabolic disorders. Dysregulation of MAP3K9 has been linked to tumor progression, insulin resistance, and neuronal death.
