The TRIM3 antibody targets Tripartite Motif-containing protein 3 (TRIM3), a member of the TRIM family characterized by conserved RING, B-box, and coiled-coil domains. TRIM3 plays diverse roles in cellular processes, including protein ubiquitination, intracellular signaling, and vesicular trafficking. It functions as an E3 ubiquitin ligase, regulating substrate degradation via the ubiquitin-proteasome system. TRIM3 is highly expressed in the brain, where it influences neuronal development, synaptic plasticity, and autophagy. Dysregulation of TRIM3 has been implicated in neurological disorders, such as Alzheimer’s disease, and cancers, including gliomas and hepatocellular carcinoma, where it may act as a tumor suppressor or promoter depending on context.

TRIM3 antibodies are essential tools for detecting TRIM3 expression and localization in tissues or cell lines via techniques like Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. They aid in studying TRIM3's interaction partners, post-translational modifications, and mechanistic roles in disease pathways.
