RASA2 antibody is a research tool designed to detect and study the RASA2 protein, a member of the RAS p21 protein activator (GAP) family. RASA2. encoded by the *RASA2* gene, acts as a negative regulator of the RAS signaling pathway by accelerating the hydrolysis of active GTP-bound RAS to its inactive GDP-bound state. This regulatory role positions RASA2 as a critical player in controlling cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, and survival. Dysregulation of RAS signaling, often linked to mutations in RAS or its regulators, is implicated in cancers and developmental disorders.

RASA2 contains conserved structural domains, including a PH domain for membrane targeting and a GAP domain for RAS interaction. Studies suggest its involvement in immune cell function, vascular development, and tumor suppression. For instance, reduced RASA2 expression has been observed in certain cancers, potentially contributing to RAS-driven oncogenesis. Antibodies targeting RASA2 enable researchers to investigate its expression patterns, subcellular localization, and interactions in various tissues or disease models.
