PLAAT2 (Phospholipase A and Acyltransferase 2), also known as H-rev107. is a member of the HRASLS (H-Ras-like suppressor) family. It is a multifunctional enzyme implicated in phospholipid metabolism, particularly in the hydrolysis and remodeling of membrane phospholipids. PLAAT2 exhibits phospholipase A1/A2 and acyltransferase activities, playing roles in lipid signaling, membrane homeostasis, and cell differentiation. It is also associated with tumor suppression, as it is downregulated in various cancers, including melanoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, and breast cancer, where its re-expression can induce apoptosis and inhibit proliferation.

Antibodies targeting PLAAT2 are essential tools for studying its expression, localization, and function in both physiological and pathological contexts. These antibodies are widely used in techniques like Western blotting, immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunofluorescence (IF) to detect PLAAT2 in tissues or cultured cells.
