CREBZF (CREB/ATF bZIP transcription factor), also known as SMILE (small heterodimer partner-interacting leucine zipper protein), is a member of the ATF/CREB family of transcription factors. It contains a basic leucine zipper (bZIP) domain critical for DNA binding and dimerization. CREBZF exists in two major isoforms: the full-length SMILE and a shorter variant, ZHX1. generated by alternative splicing. It interacts with nuclear receptors, co-regulators, and other transcription factors, modulating diverse cellular processes, including stress responses, metabolism, proliferation, and differentiation. Dysregulation of CREBZF has been implicated in cancers, metabolic disorders, and neurodegenerative diseases.

CREBZF antibodies are essential tools for detecting and quantifying this protein in research. They are widely used in techniques like Western blotting, immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunoprecipitation (IP) to study its expression, localization, and interactions.
