The HTATIP2 antibody targets HTATIP2 (HIV-1 Tat-interacting protein 2), also known as TIP60 or KAT5. a histone acetyltransferase belonging to the MYST family. This protein plays a critical role in chromatin remodeling, DNA repair, and transcriptional regulation by acetylating histones and non-histone substrates. TIP60 is involved in cellular processes such as apoptosis, cell cycle control, and response to DNA damage, making it essential for maintaining genomic stability. Dysregulation of TIP60 has been linked to cancer progression, neurodegenerative diseases, and viral infection mechanisms, particularly HIV-1 replication through its interaction with the viral Tat protein.

Antibodies against HTATIP2 are widely used in research to study its expression, localization, and functional interactions. They enable techniques like Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and co-immunoprecipitation to explore TIP60's role in signaling pathways and disease contexts.
