The SRPK3 antibody is a research tool designed to detect serine/arginine-rich protein kinase 3 (SRPK3), a member of the SRPK family involved in regulating RNA splicing by phosphorylating serine/arginine (SR) repeat-containing proteins. SRPK3. encoded by the *SRPK3* gene, is predominantly expressed in skeletal and cardiac muscle tissues. It shares structural homology with SRPK1 and SRPK2 but exhibits distinct tissue-specific functions. Studies have linked SRPK3 to muscle development and disease, particularly X-linked myopathy with excessive autophagy (XMEA), where mutations near the *SRPK3* locus disrupt its regulation.

SRPK3 antibodies are widely used in biomedical research to investigate the kinase's role in muscle cell differentiation, autophagy, and mRNA processing. They enable detection of SRPK3 expression via techniques like Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. Research using these antibodies has revealed SRPK3's interaction with proteins such as RBM20. a splicing factor critical for cardiac function, and its involvement in TGF-β signaling pathways. Additionally, SRPK3 knockout models show impaired muscle regeneration, highlighting its importance in maintaining muscle homeostasis.
