The SSX2IP (Synovial Sarcoma X breakpoint 2 Interacting Protein) antibody is a research tool designed to detect and study the SSX2IP protein, which plays diverse roles in cellular processes. SSX2IP, also known as ADIP (Aurora kinase-interacting protein), is encoded by the SSX2IP gene located on human chromosome 1. This protein is evolutionarily conserved and participates in microtubule dynamics, mitotic spindle assembly, and cell division regulation by interacting with Aurora kinases (AURKA/B). It also localizes to cell-cell adhesion sites, influencing cytoskeletal organization and cell migration.
