The glycerol-3-phosphate acyltransferase mitochondrial (GPAM) antibody is a tool used to study GPAM, a key enzyme in lipid biosynthesis. GPAM catalyzes the initial step of glycerophospholipid and triglyceride synthesis by acylating glycerol-3-phosphate to form lysophosphatidic acid.
