The DNAJB4 antibody is a tool used to detect DNAJB4. a member of the heat shock protein 40 (Hsp40/DNAJ) family. DNAJB4. also known as HLJ1. functions as a co-chaperone for Hsp70 proteins, aiding in protein folding, preventing aggregation, and facilitating cellular stress responses. It plays roles in apoptosis, autophagy, and cancer progression, with studies linking its expression to tumor suppression, metastasis inhibition, and chemoresistance modulation.

DNAJB4 is epigenetically regulated and often downregulated in cancers (e.g., lung, colorectal, breast) due to promoter hypermethylation. Its loss correlates with poor prognosis, while overexpression can impair cancer cell invasion. These features make DNAJB4 a potential biomarker or therapeutic target.

The DNAJB4 antibody is widely used in techniques like Western blot, immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunofluorescence (IF) to study its expression patterns, subcellular localization, and interactions in both normal and diseased tissues.
